CHRISTMASTIDE is the 12 days from Christmas Day (December 25) to day before the Season of Epiphany starts (January 5) and the coming of the Magi, the three wise men.
While the Christmas carol, “The 12 Days of Christmas” has not been proven that it was written to help Christians learn and pass on the tenets of their faith while avoiding persecution. It is nonetheless a fun carol to learn and sing each year around this time.
Six Geese A-laying = The six days of creation
- On the first day of creation, God made the light and the darkness.
- On the second day of creation, God made the sky, and placed it between the waters which were on the face of the earth and the precipitation that existed above the earth.
- On the third day of creation, God created the dry land.
- On day four of creation, God made the stars and everything that exists in the universe above.
- On day five of creation, God made some living creatures: birds in the sky and sea creatures in the sea.
- On the sixth day of creation, God gave life to all the beasts and “creeping things” and livestock that exist on the dry land.
