The 190th Convention of the Diocese of Michigan

Call to the 190th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan

Dear Friends in Christ,

On behalf of our bishop, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Bonnie A. Perry, I am pleased to announce that the 190th Convention of the Diocese of Michigan will take place at the Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi, Michigan:

October 18-19, 2024

All the available documents and forms for convention can be found at: edomi.org/convention.
Please share this information with your convention delegates and all members of your congregation.

Also consider serving on or nominating someone for one of the diocesan committees and commissions in the upcoming year. The “Description of Offices Open for Nomination,” is available at the convention website so you may discern if your gifts or those of someone you know are a match for being a leader in our diocese.

You can pass along someone’s name to the nominating committee by emailing the chairs who are:
Greg Wortley: gwortley@cmhliv.org and The Rev. Gerardo Aponte Safe: gaponte-safe@stjohnro.org
Feel free to reach out to them with any questions.

Please contact me at secretaryofconvention@edomi.org or the Rev. Canon Ellen Ekevag, Canon for Congregational Development and Transitions: eekevag@edomi.org if you have any questions.

I look forward to seeing you in October!

The Rev’d Canon W. Richard Hamlin, Ph.D. – Secretary of Convention
